"I make this Warm Crab Dip frequently," says Teresa Bacon of Raleigh, North Carolina. "I like to serve it as an appetizer when I entertain friends. I brought it to my neighbor's party along with homemade sourdough bread and it was a hit.
"I also serve this dip with sliced cucumbers or tomatoes from my garden. What grows in the garden dictates what I cook. When you are overrun with veggies, you try to fix them in as many different ways as you can so as not to get tired of them. This crab dip is one of my husband's favorites.
"I have a passion for cooking. It is therapeutic for me. And I enjoy cooking for those I love and seeing them enjoy what I cook. Cooking to me is love and comfort."
This warm, creamy, nicely spiced dip is sure to be a hit at your next party or family dinner. The recipe can easily be doubled.
Preheat oven to 300°. Mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, white wine, mustard, SPICES and Worcestershire sauce. Add the crab meat and lemon juice and mix well. Pour into a greased oven-safe casserole dish and sprinkle with the shredded cheese. Bake at 300° for 20-25 minutes. If you would like the cheese to be nicely browned, turn the oven to low broil for the final few minutes. Serve warm with crackers or crusty baguette slices.Prep. time: 10 minutes
