Sherrie Wolfe (story on pg. 9 in latest catalog) says, "This is an excellent chicken marinade for grilling on a warm spring day. It was given to me by my good friend, Jakki."


  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
  • 2 red bell peppers, cut into chunks (optional)
  • 2 cups button mushrooms (optional)

Marinade:

  • 6 TB. soy sauce
  • 1-2 tsp. PENZEYS MINCED GARLIC
  • 4 TB. sugar
  • 2 TB. sesame or vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. GROUND BLACK PEPPER
  • 2 TB. WHITE SESAME SEEDS
  • 1/2 Cup chopped onion (1 small onion)
       

Place the chicken chunks in a zip-top bag. In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients and mix well. Pour into the bag with the chicken and marinate for at least a few hours. Remove the chicken from the marinade and thread onto skewers with bell peppers and mushrooms if desired. Grill or broil over medium heat, about 5-7 minutes per side. The marinade will blacken if the heat is high, because of the sugar in it, but it will still taste great!
