Tangy, hot and sweet, perfect with ham.


  • 1/3 Cup REGULAR MUSTARD POWDER
  • 1 TB. (rounded) WHOLE BROWN MUSTARD SEED
  • 1/4 tsp. GRANULATED GARLIC
  • 1/4 tsp. POWDERED GINGER
  • 3 TB. water
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 2-3 tsp. white vinegar (probably 3, but start with 2 and mix—if it is thin enough for you, stop)
       

Mix the MUSTARD POWDER, MUSTARD SEED, GARLIC and GINGER with the water, and let stand 15 minutes for heat to develop. Then, mix in the brown sugar, salt and vinegar and whisk to combine.
