At Penzeys our customers are cooks and the main thing to know about cooks is that they care. In this time of Coronavirus we model our workplace on the way cooks live: caring enough to wear masks, to keep safe social distances, and to look out for one another. 

In these uncertain times there’s much to be said for an industry that’s thrived throughout times both good and bad. The spice trade’s been going strong 10,000 plus years, and with the growth in demand we’ve seen these past few months, we don’t see that ending anytime soon.

The person we seek is kind, patient, friendly, and a good communicator as we assist employees who have a widely varied level of computer experience, located in our stores around the country.  

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing initial support
  • Opening an issue ticket
  • Escalating issues as needed.
  • Working on a regular basis with service providers and vendors to remedy issues.
  • On a rotating basis, working on-call as off site support for our retail, call center and warehouse locations.  
  • Maintaining/building/configuring desktop computers and peripheral equipment.

 

Required Skills:

General troubleshooting and phone support of:

  • Computer, printer and peripheral hardware
  • Workstation network connectivity
  • Internet Access
  • Windows 10
  • Basic Word/Excel
  • Basic Google Apps for Business (Gmail/Sheets/Docs)
  • User management in Active Directory

Support Skills:

  • Troubleshooting of PC issues
  • Construction and configuration of PC desktop
  • Installation of operating systems and software from stored images
  • Specify and order PC components
  • Troubleshooting of PC peripherals, including printers, displays, scanners, etc.
  • Installations for end users, including network connectivity and setup.
