Banana Nut Spice Bread Marjorie says, “I’ve been making this for 35 years (gosh, that makes me feel old!). It is everyone’s all-time favorite. The addition of ground cloves is that taste everyone says is so good. Also, the baking temperature and time enable the bread to come out moist and flavorful, but with a nice dark color. 6 very ripe bananas 1/2 Cup vegetable oil 1 stick butter (1/2 Cup) 2 Cups sugar 4 eggs 3 Cups flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 1/2 tsp. PENZEYS CINNAMON 1/2-1 1/2 tsp. GROUND CLOVES (the recipe calls for 1 1/2 tsp. but our cloves are so strong we only used 1/2 tsp.) 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 Cups raisins 1 1/2 Cups chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
