Beef and Mushroom Stroganoff A delicious old standard from John’s mom. As a kid, John didn’t like mushrooms, but his mom, being very crafty, cut the mushrooms the same size as the beef strips so he never knew what he was eating until it was too late. Now he pulls the same trick on his own girls. 2 lbs. beef round steak or sirloin cut in bite-sized strips 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1/3 Cup corn starch 2 tsp. ENGLISH PRIME RIB RUB 1/4 tsp. GRANULATED GARLIC 1/2 tsp. freshly GROUND BLACK PEPPER 2 TB. butter or vegetable oil, divided 1/2 Cup onion, minced (1 medium onion) 1 TB. Worcestershire sauce 1 TB. red wine vinegar 2 Cups water 1 tsp. salt 8 oz. sour cream 12 oz. bag egg noodles (we used wide)
