Our Apple Pie As you can probably guess from the title, this is our go-to pie recipe. 1 stick butter, cold but not rock hard 1 Cup flour (half regular and half whole wheat pastry flour is a nice combo) 1 TB. sugar 1-2 TB. milk 1 stick butter, cut into pieces 1/2 Cup flour 1/3 Cup sugar 1 tsp. PENZEYS CINNAMON, APPLE PIE SPICE or PIE SPICE 1 TB. VANILLA SUGAR 3 lbs. apples (we like Cortland or McIntosh), peeled and sliced 2 tsp. PENZEYS CINNAMON, APPLE PIE SPICE or PIE SPICE 1 TB. VANILLA SUGAR 1/2-1 Cup sugar, depending on tartness of apples 1 TB. flour (optional, use if apples are very juicy)
